VL News Issue 915

Hello, you beautiful badasses…

It’s release day!!!

It was a helluva road to get this book out. Injury, surgery, and still currently recovering from it in my dominant arm was no joke, but somehow I got it done. Now, do your thing, read it, love it, collect it, call dibs on Sasquatch, and anything else that makes your reader heart happy.

May your drink be full and your book be smokin’!

Let the chase begin.

Sometimes your heart takes control of your brain… and your phone.

For years, Jasper “Sasquatch” Stanton kept his distance from Devin; she’s off-limits. When she ends up in Provo after an ordeal, he finds maintaining said distance is damn near impossible. One night, they end up in a dive bar together and fate intervenes.

Doing something yourself doesn’t have to mean doing it alone.

At the rate Devin Farrell collects bad decisions, she’ll end up proving her mother right in record time. Only after deciding the way forward means confronting the past, another choice presents itself. However, she’s convinced she doesn’t deserve it.

You don’t always have to choose between what you want and what you need; if you’re lucky, they’re the same thing.

I am plugging away at my next Kings book. I don’t have a preorder link for you just yet because I am not as far along as I had hoped. Just in case I have to, maybe for the first time, push a release, I don’t want to disappoint anyone. So, as soon as I am far enough along to feel like I’m going to make it, I’ll put up the preorder, but be ready. With the shorter preorder window, the preorder special will be snappy quick too.

Last time I asked for guesses of who the next King to fall would be. Now, I’ll ask you if you think we’ve met his leading lady yet? If you think we have, who do you think she is? Or do you think she’ll be unknown to us?

Email your guess to verlene@verlenelandon.com. You’ll be entered into a giveaway just for guessing.

Last winner was Julie S.

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you know how utterly important music is to me. I not only meet my characters through their music, but it gets me through life and makes me feel things more profoundly than almost anything else. So, I decided to share a song and a consumable (or a fashion or recommendation or who the heck knows) in each newsletter. Without music, life would be bland.

Grotesque Impalement (Dying Fetus) + Strapless

So the shoulder surgery was brutal, thus the song. (That and I have DF on the brain because I am FINALLY going to see them live.) I am still not wearing normal fitting tee shirts because I get trapped in my clothes. In the beginning, I couldn’t even do sleeves at all because no mobility and excruciating pain, so I ordered these tube tops and strapless jumpers from Amazon, and they were a lifesaver. I’m not a fan of going braless in public, but I didn’t mind when it was the only way, and the tops really grew on me. The links are to my favorite jumper, dress, and top of the bunch. I do not own or claim any rights to the music or consumable or anything shared here. I am just sharing favorites with you.

Verlene’s Store Has Moved

Along with the newsletter change, I have also changed my website… a lot. Rehosted & rebuilt. Rebuilding meant shifting and moving. One big difference is my store. It has moved to Payhip. You can still purchase your books and eBooks directly from me at a bargain; you’ll just do it through my Payhip store now. Swag is coming back soon too. Be sure to pop over and check it out.
